  • In October 2024, we launched our first donation-based crowdfund on the IFundWomen platform. By February 2025, we had raised $9,406 and released the below impact report to shed light on how these funds were utilized.

These funds were critical in helping us get off the ground, assisting largely with permitting and initial construction costs.

  • A portion of each in-store purchase of Ya Albi Olive Oil is donated to HEAL Palestine. Sales reports will be gathered at the end of each quarter and donations will be made by the first week of the following quarter.

For proof of sales and donations, please see below:

    • Q3 2025 (Aug/Sept)
*This quarter, grant money was used to purchase all inventory. With customer purchase of each oil, we were able to donate 100% of all proceeds to HEAL Palestine. Since Ya Albi also donates proceeds to HEAL Palestine, this functioned as a double donation.

  • From Jan 18 - Feb 19 2026, we partnered with DAWA (Diversity and Wellness in Action) to donate $1 of each Fish Sauce Caramel latte sold.

This donation went directly to the DAWA Fund, which provides direct financial assistance to BIPOC Community Frontliners: the givers, teachers, social workers, healthcare providers, and service industry workers.

  • Throughout the month of March, $2 from every Black Sesame Sumo Hojicha was donated to Twin Cities ICE Relief Fund & Austin Mutual Aid Immigrant Support Fund, courtesy of Oatly. At the end of the month, we raised $818 for each organization ($1,636 total).

We chose two different beneficiary funds for this fundraiser; one in our past home in Minneapolis MN and another in our current home in Austin TX. There are many, many amazing mutual aid funds and organizations to choose from, and we ultimately selected the below with a focus on grassroots, on-the-ground organizing.

    • Twin Cities ICE Relief Fund was chosen after having conversations with our community in Minneapolis about where they see donations having the most immediate and direct impact for those who have been targeted by the ICE occupation in Minnesota. The Twin Cities ICE Relief fund is organized by Neighbors Helping Neighbors, a community-led support network rooted in mutual aid in the spirit of care and community. They are partnered with the Family Housing Fund as a nonprofit fiscal sponsor for this relief effort, allowing them to get funds quickly and safely to neighbors in need. This fund directly supports neighbors needing assistance with food, rent relief, and basic household needs.

    • Austin Mutual Aid Immigrant Support Fund was chosen due to its direct impact within our local community, rooted in dignity & led by community. They are currently creating a shared resource for immigrant families across Austin and surrounding areas to help redistribute resources back to immigrant communities being tortured by unjust systems. ICE activity in Austin looks very different than the occupation in Minneapolis, and it is crucial that we continue building these support networks even when it is not in the local news cycle.
