Studio Tak Tak: Lunar New Year Glass Fusing Workshop

Celebrate Lunar New Year and join Studio Tak Tak for our first ever glass fusing workshop while enjoying the Asian-American inspired flavors that Lau Lau has to offer.

In this 3 hour workshop, you'll learn to safely cut and assemble sheet glass into a lantern design, using a template as your guide. Once your design is finalized, your piece will be fired in a kiln overnight to melt together to form your hanging lantern! 

This workshop includes:

• 3 hours of hands-on, personalized instruction

• Clear, red, and yellow sheets of glass to construct an aprox. 4"x4" lantern

• Colourful glass stringers + extra bits of glass for further embellisments

• Use of glass cutting tools and glass fusing kit

• Firing services to melt and fuse your glass lantern after the workshop 

• Choice of tassel to attach to your final piece

All materials provided, no experience required! 

Your pieces will be ready for pick-up in 2-3 weeks at Lau Lau. You will be contacted when they're ready!

Requirements:

A participating parent or guardian must accompany participants between ages 13 and 18 years old. 

Closed toe shoes are a MUST. 

Everyone is required to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability to participate.
