Celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month with Studio Tak Tak for round two of glass fusing workshops!

Where: Lau Lau | 3701 Guadalupe St, Ste 106, Austin, TX

When: Wednesday, May 27th, 4:30 - 7:30pm (1.5hr sessions)

We're back at Lau Lau to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month! We're thrilled to offer our "Charm Bar" format, where you'll be able to make up to 8 small fused glass charms that are unique and personal! Create a meaningful symbol, a flag, a character, or an emblem out of glass for your keychain, bag charm collection, or necklace! In 1.5hrs with guided instruction, you'll create up to 8 charms that can fit within a 2"x4" area. See photos to see what's possible!

What's included:

  • 1.5hrs of personal and professional instruction

  • Use of PPE (safety glasses and gloves)

  • Clear sheet glass to practice on before making your final pieces

  • Sheet glass in assorted colors to create charms that do not exceed 2"x4"

  • Glass paint and stringer to embellish charms with small details

  • Use of glass cutting and fusing tool kit to cut and assemble glass

  • Nichrome hooks to embed into charms 

  • Kiln firing services post-workshop

PLUS

  • One (1) Lau Lau drink ticket for 10% off food and drink day of workshop

Ticket is for one (1) participant. All materials included, no experience necessary!

Pieces will be ready for pick-up at Lau Lau 2-3 weeks after the workshop. 

Requirements:

All participants MUST wear enclosed shoes for this workshop. 

Participants must be 13+. Participants between the ages of 13 and 18 must attend with a participating parent or guardian.

All participants must sign this Waiver before the workshop begins.
